IxD: The Art of Interaction Design

At the core of every web site and Web 2.0 application is the design of the presentation layer. Get it right and the user is empowered. Get it wrong and the experience is marginal and frustrating at best. If you are an interaction designer, please join in the conversation -- Charlie Kreitzberg.

Well, it looks as if the Catalyze community will be undergoing some changes now that Tom Humbarger is moving on to other things. Tom has been a strong force in this community. His energy has helped keep the community afloat. It will be interesting to see where it goes next.

There are a number of communities and social networks for Ux and BA practitioners. But the idea of putting us together is an interesting one. In the long term, business analysts and user experience designers will, I think, come together to provide the product conceptualization and design services that are essential to creating high quality interactive products. In a web 2.0 world, that makes a lot of sense. And that's what made Catalyze a unique concept.

I hope that Catalyze will continue to function and grow. And my thanks to Tom for all he did to make it possible for us to get tot his point.
