WEB USABILITY ANALYST
 

 Specifications / Qualifications
* Ability to handle multiple projects is a must

* Create process flows, screen prototypes, and functional specifications.

* Identify changes in scope or functionality as they arise.

* Incorporate user and team feedback into project requirements.

* Conduct usability research and translate findings into standards improvements.

* Conduct, and participate in, project kick-off meeting, including the development of user profiles, user scenarios, task/workflow analysis, information architecture, navigational models, prototypes, and feature lists.

* Successfully communicate conceptual ideas, detailed design, and design rationale, both verbally and visually.

* Work with development teams (design briefs) to ensure that the technical development adheres to the user requirements, prototypes, and design and usability standards.

* Ability to lead / facilitate screen design review sessions with both Business (non-technical) and technical participants.

* Strong participation in the project estimation and sizing, creation of usability plans for projects, helping to determine which methodologies to perform and when

* Strong ability to lead and "mentor" other staff with less experience, ability to set project direction and execute on project deliverables

* Ability to balance the "importance to the user" with the ROI to the business and technical feasibility

* Familiarity with iterative approaches to the software development lifecycle

* Knowledge of the Web Solutions Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

* Ability to succeed in an environment where the strategy is speed, quality and scalability

* Strong creative, business and communication skills required; ability to create effective and visually appealing presentations, comfortable presenting to large groups of people, self starter, commitment to deadlines

* Strong expertise in user-centered design, usability engineering techniques, software interface design and prototyping, graphic design and optimization for the Web, user guide creation, and web/user analytics

* Strong understanding of limitations and strengths of HTML, JavaScript, CSS, DHTML, XML/XSLT, JSP/J2EE

* Fluent in iRise 3.12+, Visio, PowerPoint, Adobe PhotoShop 6.0+/Adobe Image Ready 3.0+, Understanding of Macromedia Dreamweaver and Flash

* 3-5 years designing and implementing large scale applications and Web sites; or, equivalent experience in another design medium
