JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position reports to the Customer Technology Requirements Analysis team and develops and contributes to the development of requirements and other technical documentation.

An Intermediate Business Systems Analyst :

* Is responsible for the analysis, facilitation, and management of moderately complex projects including providing ad hoc issues resolution.
* Is a self starter, has a high level of initiative, and is able to work independently or as a member of a team with some supervision and has the ability to understand, contribute to, and document business and functional requirements, application designs, and test plans.
* Follows a consistent and flexible process to gather data, analyze data, and document deliverables.
* Interacts with Requirements Analysts, project teams, application teams, Architects, Users, Marketing Reps, Business Analysts, and various levels of management.

Required Skills:
Excellent analysis, requirements elicitation, problem solving, communication, multi-tasking, and decision making skills.

Knowledge of business and systems requirements process, GUI design or prototyping, and Rapid Application Development (RAD) or Joint Application Design (JAD).

Experience in Object Oriented Analysis and Design or Structured Analysis and Design. Experience with requirements management, Rational ReqPro, Borland’s Caliber suite, and iRise.

Strong meeting facilitation, organization, planning, estimating, technical writing, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

Ability to develop and carry out work plans.

Strong PC skills - proficiency with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), MS Project, and Visio.

Education:
Bachelors or equivalent degree in IT, MIS, Computer Science, Software/Computer Engineering, Industrial/Mechanical Engineering, or Operations Management.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have a bachelor degree or masters degree in computer scinece or a related discipline or the equivalent in job related experience.
May not have relatives (other than cousins) who work for UPS or any UPS subsidiary.
Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.
