Does anyone know of any course offerings in Atlanta, GA that focus on human computer interaction, interface practices, interface design principles, prototyping,  or user-centered design practices?

I am in the process of planning my training for this year and would be interested in courses that address the above (without getting an advanced degree in Human Computer Interfaces!)

Thanks.

Rosie -

I highly recommend the training courses offered by Human Factors International (http://humanfactors.com). They offer several courses - from beginning to advanced, and offer a certification if you take 4 courses and pass an exam.

I took their "Putting Research into Practice" two day training this year and thoroughly enjoyed it and learned a lot. The material was great, was well-prepared, and the instructor definitely knew the topics, explained things well, and was very open to answering questions or diving into tangential topics when the class asked questions.

They offer their courses throughout the US, Europe and Asia - and I think some are offered in Atlanta. I traveled to Chicago for mine, and it was definitely worth the investment.

Good luck,
Susan

I agree with Susan, HFI provides a series of courses on UCD and have a website with useful resources as well.
