Catalyst for Payment Reform and The Source on Healthcare Price and Competition, at the University of California Hastings College of Law, are once again shining a spotlight on the efforts states across the country are making to help consumers readily find health care price information.

Since releasing the last Report Card in 2017, we looked forward to seeing how states would work to advance price transparency. Given that legislation and the development of health care price transparency websites can take time, we were hopeful a hiatus in releasing Report Cards would give states time to progress – and we were not proven wrong.
