We at CPR are saddened to share the news that on Monday, May 13, Suzanne Delbanco, CPR’s co-founder and first executive director, passed away after a brave, four-year fight with cancer.

We mourn Suzanne’s loss and celebrate her legacy.

Suzanne was a tenacious, intelligent, and courageous advocate for meaningful improvements in our health care system. She developed a deep understanding of every issue she worked on and she was able to articulate strong positions on those issues with insight and clarity. Suzanne was an esteemed colleague and mentor to many, both to the Catalyst for Payment Reform staff and alumni, and many others. She was usually ahead of the curve – on hospital public reporting, payment reform, provider consolidation, and transparency, to name a few topics – and her leadership had a profound impact on those she worked with and the health care community at large…
